Rain once again wreaked havoc with Saturday fixtures with all games bar 6th grade either ending in a draw or abandoned.

There were some notable performances across the grades still and included :

– 2nd grade – Tom Pappolardo and Clinton Sippel both scored half centuries

– 5th grade – Jack Versace 51

Unfortunately 6th grade went down to Valleys after being bowled out for 97 and Valleys had no issues chasing the total doing so with the loss of only 1 wicket.

Our under 19 team got their first win of the season on Sunday against UQ by 1 wicket! The boys chased down UQs total of 168 in the 49th over. Lachlan Biggs was the standout with 47. Seamer Tom Whitney was again good with the ball snaring 3 for 30 and Eshan Nakar was even better taking an impressive 4 – 36 from 9.5 overs. Great win fellas!

Our Lords Taveners didn’t fair as well going down to Darling Downs by 8 wickets. Wests were all out for 115 and Darling Downs made light work of the total chasing it down in the 28th over.

Fingers crossed the rain stays away this weekend!!

This round sees all grades taking on cross-town rivals Souths!
