Our second grade men had their one day grand final hopes halted by a rampant Gold Coast side on the Gold Coast on Sunday. Wests were all out for just 82 in pursuit of the fins 194 after making a positive start bowling first. At one point wests had the fins 5-99 with a number of their key batters gone cheaply, but the fins scrambled to be all out for 194. Nick Vellacott after making his 1st grade debut on Saturday snared 3-27, Danny Young contributed well with 2-24 from 10 and all of the other bowlers used took one wicket each. Wests chase never got going with none of that batter reaching 20 to be bundled out for 82 in the 32nd over.
