1st grade made a solid start to their match against Wynnum at GMP#1 being dismissed for 310 at the end of day 1. Sam Truloff made in 3 centuries in as many matches scoring 113 and shared in a 184 run stand with Isaiah Snell who fell agonisingly short of his 2nd century for 93. Alrounder Steve McGiffin returned to form with a well crafted half century (60) and played particulary well throughout the back end of the innings with wests losing 7 for 80.

2nd grade are also in a strong position out at wynnum having wynnum 1 – 3 after posting 251, Tom Pappalardo 50 and Justin Frew 68 were the chief run getters. Aidan Watterson snared the late afternoon wicket.

3rd grade are 1 – 49 in pursuit of Souths total of 146, John Allcock 4 – 12 and Toby Matthews 4 – 64 were the main destroyers . Varider Singh is the man out for wests for 32

4th grade have Souths 9 – 161 at the end of days play

5th grade have Souths 9 – 197 with skipper Steve Gramenz 4 – 59, Cam Stewart 2 – 39 and Lachlan Brenna 2 – 28 the main wicket takers.

6th grade have Souths 6 – 172 with nearly all bowlers taking a wicket, its worth noting that Nick Purser only took 1 wicket but bowled a staggering 25.4 overs 1 -24 with 14 maidens

Our lords taveners unfortunately fell 36 runs short against the Sunshine Coast at Kerry Emery Oval on Sunday in their semi final clash. Sunshine Coast made 7 – 228 off their 50 overs, the wicket were shared amongst the bowlers with Isaac Barnes – Cleary 2 – 37 the only multi wicket taker. Wests had a number of small to medium contribution but they weren’t enough, Dan Skipworth 30, Jack Sonter 38 and Michael Neumann 18 the main contributors. The team were fantastic through the tavs season taking out the t20 comp and making semi final in the one dayers.
