What a weekend of cricket for the Wests girls!

Friday night saw the Kirsten Pike Plate Grand Final held at Chelmer with Wests playing UQ after last weeks wash out. Wests had the game won after 13.3 overs with a super happy bunch of gals taking home the trophy. Well done girls on a great season.

Sunday had second grade Women playing Souths on the main field at Graceville. It was a stinker of a day but the big old trees at Graceville looked after the spectators as they cheered on their favourite team. Wests came out on top having the game in the bag after 30 overs giving everyone an added bonus of an early trip home. The Premiership win was the silver lining on coach Georges cloud as he oversaw his last game as coach for Wests. Thanks George for your enormous commitment to the game.

Sunday also hosted the first ever Rebecca McCoombes Cup Grand Final at Redlands. Wests and Redlands battled it out with some great performances from the Wests players taking the win and the first to put their name on the trophy.

Congratulations to all who have played, scored, coached, cheered, supported, fed, and counselled through the season. The ladies couldn’t have done it with out you.
