It’s starting to look very real for the new practice facilities at Chelmer Sports Ground with all of the concreting completed for the cricket nets, shed and irrigation infrastructure. With the synthetic turf being laid this week, it’s suddenly starting to look less like a construction site and more like a sporting facility!

We’re on track for completion of the Phase 1 works (cricket nets, irrigation and equipment shed) in October, and civil works have now started for the phase 2 construction of the change rooms. We expect to commence construction of the change room building itself in early October with work to be completed around March 2024.

Improvement works on the main building to provide improved access for club users to toilet facilities and repair plumbing, drainage and roofing issues has now been completed.

Not long to wait now before we can start putting the new practice facility through its paces!
