QLD u19 Women are National Champions after defeating NSW Metro in their Grand Final at Newcastle. The QLD win ended a three year NSW winning streak in one of the boil overs that make our sport tremendous.
Wests were well represented despite injuries to selection certainties Lily Bassingthwaite, Lilli Hamilton and Trinity Doyle, we still had 5 players in the GF starting line up.
Our National Champions: Abbie Trevethan scoring a half century, Aya Stafford Qlds highest wicket taker, Brooke Morrish, Chelsea Sonter, and Filippa Sue See scoring 2 half centuries and taking a 5 wicket haul in one game. Filippa was also humbled to be chosen in the Team of the Tournament-celebrating the best performers of the National Titles. This is the second time Filippa has achieved this, two Teams of the Tournament in two National Titles.
