Round 3 of the Girls Paul Pink Shield started off with a bang as the Wests girls knocked over Northern Suburbs for 73 runs. Great bowling was demonstrated by Scarlett Varidel and Takeira Whisson who both took 2 wickets. Takeira took 2 for 14 off 3 and Scarlett took 2 for 6 off 1.5. Wickets were also taken by Erin Moran who took 1/13 off 3 overs and Holly Walker who took 1/11 off 2 overs.
The girls also improved considerably in the field which directly resulted in two run-outs.
The batting innings for Wests concluded in the 11th over which was led by the opening partnership of Isobel Goffage and Emma Lockward. Isobel finished with 41 runs off 31 balls and Emma, 28no off 26.
To all the girls, have a great Christmas break and rest up well! Looking forward getting back together for training on January 2nd!!
