Congratulations to Westies Layla Proctor and Naiya Varidel who were members of the Queensland team which took out the Cricket Australia National U15 Female Championship last week.
Queensland were victorious in six of their eight preliminary games, and won the final against New South Wales Metro by one wicket in a nailbiter.
Both girls have also been selected to participate in the U17 Female State Challenge to be contested in April, and Layla was also selected to be a member of the Cricket Australia train-on squad from which a team will be selected for the U18 national championships late this year.
