The Chelmer nets are up and running.
It was five years ago that the idea of nets at Chelmer was floated and here we are, many grey hairs and hours of lost sleep later, with a top end facility.
A few of the Women and Wests girls rocked along on Saturday to be the first to give the Womens Cricket Centre of Excellence nets a work out and all were mighty impressed.
Club President Peter Frew and Project Manager and Designer Michael Varidel have worked tirelessly to see this project through and I am sure you will all join me in thanking then with a hearty round of applause .
Next up are the change rooms. Preparation has already begun and you will start to see progress in the next few weeks.
