With the new Chelmer Sports Ground cricket nets, storage shed and improvements to the clubhouse building operational, the project has shifted onto the phase 2 works with construction commencing on the new change room building.
Piling work for the change room building was completed a couple of weeks ago, the sub-floor has been installed and plumbing works have been completed. Over the next couple of weeks, we should be seeing walls and roofing going up… weather permitting!
A major upgrade of the irrigation tanks and pump station was also completed last week with the system commissioning being completed and handed over to ground staff. Having the irrigation system back online enables ground surface refurbishment work to be done over the next few weeks. (This work won’t affect cricket being played on the ground!)
We’re still looking good to have all works completed in March 2023.
