Wests women have gone back-to back taking out the Katherine Raymont Shield T20 premiership for 2020-21 in emphatic style. The 98-run win over the Gold Coast Dolphins repeated their T20 premiership win last season and was built on an undefeated run to the final this year.
The girls batted first and put on 210 runs on the back of a second Grace Harris century in two days, then backed up with the ball to limit the Gold Coast to 112.
Congratulations ladies. You’ve done us proud again!
The premiership win underlines a great start to the 2020-21 season for Wests female cricketers at both senior and junior level with our second grade women also having a strong first half of the season in the Jodie Fields Shield and our girls teams also front runners in the U18 Kirby Short Cup and the U15 Harris Shield.
Our U15 Paul Pink Shield premier girls team also posted double wins yesterday, making it a great all-round weekend for Wests female cricketers.
