1st grade men secured a victory after a dominant display with both bat and ball over Valleys to secure top spot on the 2 day ladder. A stellar all-round performance from Steve McGiffin and a high class effort from all the bowlers ensure a dominant victory was achieved. McGiffin started the day with a century to his name and was well supported by Josh Del Simone 28, Sam Dennien 27 not out and Jarred Sippel 25 got wests to 6-319 when they declared. McGiffin finished with 126 and when Blake Edwards got the early wicket of opener Jack Beath caught for 1 by Sippel at 3rd slip it proved to be the trend for the rest of the day. Valleys were at one stage 7 – 105 and then were all out for 133 with spearhead Blake Edwards taking 4 – 42 and Steve McGiffin 3 – 11 from 10 overs all other bowlers chipped in with a wicket each.
2nd grade played a red ball one day game after the first week of the match was washed out, wests batted first and were all out for 162. There were plenty of starts in the wests batting with 8 batters getting into double figures, Danny Young top scored with 33. Valleys then ran down the total with the loss of 4 wickets in the 42nd over. Luke Penn was the pick of the bowlers with 3 – 24 from 10 overs.
3rd grade had a 4 wicket win over Uni by chasing down Uni’s 126 with Mitch Pearce 3 – 29, Toby Matthews 3 – 17 and Luke Thompson 2 – 29 were outstanding with the ball. Lachy Biggs 36 not out then secured the victory after a number of the top order made double figures
4th grade skipper Josh Buffett made 61 not out in his sides victory over university, Uni were bowled out for 142 with Sam Arnott 3 – 27, Eashan Nakar 2 – 26 and Lachie Holmes 2 – 36 doing the damage with the ball, wests chased the total with the loss of 4 wickets
5th grade skittled Uni for just 79 and chased the total down with the loss of 2 wickets
6ht grade went down by 77 runs against Uni after Uni made 9 – 219 with Karan Pal 4 – 20 the pick of the bowlers for wests, wests were then dismissed for 142 with Karan Pal topping off a solid game individually, top scoring with 32 runs.
