Wests Junior Cricket Club completed a merger with the Seniors at Western Suburbs District Cricket Club during the 2017-18 season and this process was completed during the 2018-19 season. The merger created one club, providing direct pathways for our young cricketers from junior competition through the Premier Youth competitions run by the senior club (Lords Taverners for boys and Youth Girls Paul Pink Shield for girls) and onward to Premier Grade Cricket.
What programs do Wests offer for junior cricketers?
Wests’ caters for junior cricketers of all ages, from very young players to the young guns working towards playing senior cricket.
We also provide high quality cricket skills training through our Wests +Plus Cricket Academy.
Which type of junior cricket is right for me?
Boys and Girls:
- Very young players, starting new to cricket: Junior Blaster.
- Young players (usually 8 or younger) with basic cricket skills: Master Blaster (Super Sixers).
- Junior players, usually about 8 or older: MSW Junior Cricket.
Girls Only:
- Junior girls up to about 15 years: Chelmer Girls Cricket Challenge
