Season Sign-On/Grading

Wanting to play for Wests in MSW junior fixtures? Come along to a grading day, sign on and we’ll find the right team for you!

All MSW competitions have moved to the new Cricket Australia stage-based system. Details of the CA stage-based system can be found here. Teams are no longer selected based primarily on age, although age will still be taken into consideration! Our policy is to keep players together wherever possible who have played together in previous seasons and want to continue to play.

We encourage all Stage 1 players attend grading, we look forward to meeting our new juniors.

If you have played for the club previously we will be needing to look at you again as no doubt you have grown and your game has changed since we last saw you. If you are new to the club it is super important the highly trained eyes of the coaches get to see you to place you in the right level.

It is recommended that players new to the club attend the season launch or get in touch with us at juniors@westsdcc.cricket

Grading sessions for the 2024-25 season are listed below. If you’re not sure which session to attend, that’s fine – please either attend whichever session you think is appropriate or contact your Wests Junior Stage Co-ordinator.

• Where: Wests’ nets at Graceville Memorial Park (173 Oxley Rd, Graceville).
• Who: Junior cricketers wanting to play competition cricket for the 2024/25 season:
  • Stage 1: All players.
  • Stages 2 : Players new to Wests and existing players wanting to be re-graded.
  • Girls: All players during training.
• Bring: Cricket kit, sunscreen, hat, your best game (!).
• Wear: Regular sports clothes … or give your Wests training shirt a run!
