Wests’ women’s squad kicked off their final preparations for their season with a centre wicket friendly with Valleys on Sunday.
The girls blew out the last of the off-season cobwebs with a solid workout against a strong Valleys contingent.
They’ll complete their pre-season with an internal centre wicket trial next weekend.
The women’s grade season launches on Friday September 20 with First Grade playing a T20 at home at Chelmer Sports Ground against Ipswich/Logan. Our second grade women play their first game away against Valleys at Ashgrove Sports Ground on September 29.
