West Tav’s travelled to Toowoomba to take on the best from the Darling Downs. The game ended up a tight contest with Wests taking a two wicket victory. Wests bowled first and dismissed Darling Downs in the 43rd over for only 142. A screamer of a catch in the gully by Hayden Evetts shifted the momentum to Wests early in the innings and the visitors capitalised thereafter. All bowlers did a good job with the standout performance being Dupinder Singh with 4 for 23 off 9 overs.

In response Wests were cruising at 2 for over 100 following some excellent batting from Lachie Cumming (45) and Lachie Donohue (37). However six quick wickets saw the match turn in favour of the home team. At 8 for 128 it looked like Wests might fall short before Toby Matthews (10) and Jackson Evetts (16) steadied the ship and got the boys across the line.

Wests face the top two sides in the competition over the next fornight.
