Our first and third grade men’s teams have won through to the finals of their Twenty20 and One Day competitions with impressive semi-final wins last weekend.
The Dogs piled on 5/181 in the first grade T20 semi-final, then quickly had UQ in serious trouble at 4/53 before play was abandoned due to rain in the eleventh over. Wests will play table-leaders Valley DCC in the final at AB Field on Sunday January 26.
Third grade qualified over Wynnum-Manly with an 80-run victory after batting first for 145 off 39 overs, then rolling the opposition for only 65. Wests will play Northern Suburbs in their One-Day final. Venue details are yet to be announced.
