On Friday, the Wests Harriers played the Souths Flame. The Westies lost the toss and the Souths team elected to bat first. We came home with a win, with the top scorer in the batting from Holly Walker with 18 off 8 with a 225 strike rate. Georgia Black took the bails off twice with her on-target bowling and Poppy Weeks took home 3 wickets.
The game kicked off to a quick start with 2 golden ducks in the first few overs, then the pace slowed down as the game continued. During the batting innings, the side lines were buzzing with anticipation ball after ball.
The Harriers finished on 82 run off 11 overs which won us the game!
The conversations from the Westies consisted of the magnificent Wendy’s burgers and the persistent players hassling the scores for their run score of their innings. The game was played exceptionally, and I hope we have another win this coming Friday!
