Our Under 19’s Mens team have completed their season. It was a mixed season for the boys with some very good cricket at times.
They finished with two wins and two losses with one washout. A highlight was definitely the match against Souths bowling the Magpies out for 181 with Luke Davies’ 3/17 and Joe Fry’s 4/38 doing the damage. Wests then went on to dominate the game passing Souths only 2 down (2/182) in 29.3 overs. Outstanding performances from Luke Davies with 96 not out and Aidan Tolhurst 34 not out. A great finish to the season with a strong away win against Gold Coast in stifling conditions. In particular, to Rex Tooley for his 5 wickets.
Overall a season of ups and downs but a wonderful group of young men and a really enjoyable season. Wests has a very strong crop of young players coming through and look forward to their ongoing progression. Thanks to former 1st grader, Justin Frew as coach/manager for the group.
