A minor miracle transpired today at Graceville Memorial Park when new synthetic grass surfacing appeared in the clubs practice nets!
New batting and bowling zones were laid in three of the nets, complete new strips were installed in two, and repairs were made to existing matting in the sixth.
The new surfaces are a major improvement on the previous heavily worn matting, and gives the club two additional properly surfaced practice nets at our home base. This increase in capacity is a fantastic outcome, given how busy this facility is during the season.
The club is working on a plan to fully refurbish the nets in the future, but this resurfacing work a great start.
Thanks to Jon Dooley for organising the upgrade!
