Wests played the top ranked Redlands away and needed a win to make it through to the finals. Wests won the toss and elected to bat. Unfortunately, early wickets meant that the batting line up didn’t ever gain any momentum. Tight bowling and some poor shot selections lead to regular wickets and the Wests boys limped to a meagre 112 from 43.3 overs. After two early wickets the Redlands middle order took control and cruised to victory.
Despite the disappointing end to the season the Wests Tavs team only fell one win short of the finals. The lads played hard right throughout the season and with a large number of younger boys in the team will give the 2020 competition a real shake. A special thank you to George Seaward and Matt Bell for all of their guidance and hard work over the season. Also the boys would like to thank all the parents for their support and especially Justin Harper for scoring. Good luck to the 15-17 MSW Cup lads for the weekend!
