1st grade have kept their finals hopes alive with an emphatic victory over Valleys largely thanks to a maiden 5 wicket haul to Paddy Dooley. After beginning the day 7 for 260 Paddy Dooley and Blake Edwards provided the early fireworks with some lusty hitting with pair sharing in a 80 run stand with wests declaring at 7 – 317 with Dooley 39 off 66 and Edwards 46 0ff 59 both not out. Wests then made the perfect start in the field with a runout to Jared Sippel having Beath gone for 1. A small partnership between opener Pfeffer and number 3 Stevens but Dooley struck bowling Pfeffer for 30. A quick partnership between Gode and Stevens of 77 but when debutant Tom Whitney claimed Gode for 55 caught behind it caused a major collapse. Dooley had Stevens LBW for 52 Valleys lost 7 – 55 with Dooley claiming his best ever figures in 2 day cricket for wests of 5 – 26. Darcy Murphy claimed 2-37 with Whitney and McGiffin taking 1 wicket apiece. Wests then bowled again to strive for extra bonus points with debutant Whitney snaring all 4 second innings wickets taking 4 – 38. 1st grade now sit in 5th on the ladder needing a victory in the last round against toombul to play semi finals cricket.

2nd grade had a match to remember claiming an outright win over Valleys. After running down Valleys first innings total of 121 wests declared at 6 – 157. They then dismantled Valleys batting order to skittle them for 71 with Sean Seaward and Zac Beveridge taking 4 wicket each and Aiden Watterson and Luke Penn taking 1 apiece.

3rd grade unfortunately went down by just 2 wickets. Wests were all out for 127 and Valleys ran down the total with the loss of 8 wickets with Trent Kenny claiming 5-41.

6th grade went down also to Valleys after being all out for 156 in pursuit of Valleys 225
