The effect of rain over the weekend left all matches interestingly placed or unfortunately abandoned week 1.

1st grade won the toss and elected to bat against a star studded norths line up, with Norths openers Joe Burns and Tom Healy making a very cautious start. Brendan Doggett and Blake Edwards started very well with the ball but were unlucky not to get rewarded. Aiden Watterson made an immediate impact coming into the attack leading into lunch with a 9 over spell resulting in wicket of Healy, caught at gully by skipper Pat Collins for 11. Brendan Doggett struck after lunch removing test opener Joe Burns LBW for 64 a ball before the rain called play for the day with Norths 2 – 91.

2nd Grade were 4 – 99 when rain halted play against Norths

3rd grade took on gold coast at cheltenham oval and once again rain halted play for the day with wests 2 – 41 with Charles Matthews (17) and skipper Trent Kenny (16) the not out batsmen.
