Allrounder Steve McGiffin then came to the crease and provided fantastic support in building a partnership with Truloff to ensure wests could chase the total in the last session. Truloff and McGiffin put on a century stand of 133 with Truloff bringing up his 2nd century in 3 bats for the season and McGiffin passed 50 for the 5th time this season across all forms.
